What started as a casual rendezvous of 5-6 housemates (who hadn’t been back to CU in 20 years and were scattered across the US), the Play Or Pose hootenanny idea mushroomed into a full-fledged concert/weekend. And why not?! Given the massive success and fun of last year’s “1993 Revisited” (Honcho Overload, Menthol, etc), P.O.P. became a no-brainer. Again, several kick-ass CU bands of yore essentially fell into place and the rest, shall we say, will be history!
“When we would wait for Bowery Boys or Titanic love Affair to play a show, their linecheck would take forever… causing us to scream ‘Are you gonna play, or pose?!’ Well, 20 years on, and the phrase lives on and encapsulates that time…”
