	How old do you have to be to get in Highdive?
	19 and you absolutely, positively MUST have ID to prove this. To purchase alcohol you must be 21. Acceptable forms of ID...drivers license, state-issued ID card, passport, military ID. If you have a traffic/speeding ticket you MUST bring some other form of ID that has your picture on it. "Oh, I'm not gonna drink any beer or anything" or "but I'm gonna be 19 next week" will NOT work. Highdive staff has the right to refuse entry to anyone who cannot meet these standards. Back to Top
	Where can I find parking for Highdive?
	Parking, while tricky at times, can be found in a variety of locations. If you cannot find a metered space on the streets or in the metered lot adjacent to the club...parking IS allowed from 6PM-3AM ONLY in the large private lot behind the Highdive. Parking is also allowed from 6PM-3AM ONLY along the east wall of Trader's World Pawn Shop. If all of these areas are filled, there is huge City of Champaign lot along Walnut Street just north of Main Street and the News Gazette building. Check our "directions" section for a map. 	Can I buy tickets for an event ahead of time?
	Sometimes. For some (usually well-known, national touring artists) we will sell tickets online through Ticket Fusion. Please see our Tickets section. Back to Top
	What's the phone number for Highdive?
	The telephone that rings in the bar is 217-356-2337 (also conveniently known as 217-356-BEER). Keep in mind there is generally no one in the bar to answer that phone until at least 8:00pm. If you are lucky, you may catch someone during the afternoon or early evening. The telephone that rings down the street in our offices is 217-356-0006. There IS someone in that office from 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday, but keep in mind that they are several blocks away and cannot, for example, look around for a lost cell phone or lost coat. 	What time does Highdive open?
	Very good question, and one that doesn't have a straightforward answer unfortunately. Generally we open at 9:00pm. If we have an early show however, doors open either 30 or 60 minutes before the bands start playing. For example, when we have jazz with Pocket Big Band (every 2nd Friday) from 5:30-7:30pm... doors open at 5:00pm. If we have a band starting at 8:00pm, doors typically open at 7:00pm. If the band(s) start at 7:30pm, it's likely that the bar opens at 7:00pm as well. Call the bar if you are unsure (356-2337). We are closed on Sundays and Mondays whenever there is no concert or event. Back to Top
	Does Highdive have coat check service?
	Yes, BUT typically only on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights AFTER 10:00pm, and during colder months (November to April roughly). Infrequently we will have coat check open for special events on Thursdays and/or early shows and/or larger concerts. The cost is $1.00 per item. Hang onto your claim stub! If you cannot present it to us... we will NOT give you a coat. Period. We gave a $400 leather jacket to the wrong person once as a result of drunken statements like "oh, it's that brown one over there" and "it's #192, I'm sure of it." NO stub = NO coat. You will politely be asked to step aside and wait until all other coats have been returned. At THAT point we will assist you as yours *should* be the only item remaining! Back to Top
	I hear Highdive has a dress code policy... yes or no?
	Yes, BUT only on Friday and Saturday nights AFTER 10:00pm. In its simplest terms... Highdive's dress code prohibits ALL head gear and ALL sports gear. For example, NO hats, caps, bandanas, scarves, doo rags, berets, or anything else worn on your head. We realize that many women wear hats as accessories to their clothes. However, in order to be fair and consistent we must ask that you either A) leave it in the car or B) put it in our coat check or C) stick it in your purse. Same scenario for sports jerseys, sweat pants, jogging suits, hooded sweatshirts, and anything else adorned with numbers and/or sports teams... please leave it in the car or check it at our coat check. 	Can I attend a show if one of my parents comes with me?
	Yes! But only if it is indeed your parent or legal guardian. For example, your uncle or your older sister or your mom's boyfriend or your neighbor's dad are unacceptable. 	Can I bring any food or drink in Highdive?
	No. The only exception to this rule is Jupiter's pizza which can be ordered next door at any time. Otherwise, no outside food or beverages are allowed. Water from the bar is free (and Champaign's tap water is quite good). At the risk of overstating the obvious, if you are seen drinking alcohol not purchased in our bar, it will be confiscated and you will be asked to leave for the remainder of the evening. "I was just holding it for my friend" etc. is not an acceptable excuse. Back to Top
	Does Highdive allow video cameras?
	NO...unless you have explicit permission from the band. Otherwise, 90% of the band contracts we receive specifically state "no video cameras." If it's a DJ night and you simply need to make a quick clip for an audition tape you're sending some reality TV show (hey, it happens), we will allow this so long as it is quick. Definitely no tripods at crowded concerts. Back to Top
	Can I take pictures of a band playing at Highdive?
	Technically, NO...unless you have explicit permission from the band. Again, 90% of the contracts we receive specifically state "no cameras." Most bands however are very relaxed on this issue so long as you do NOT use a flash. If an artist or band does express concern about cameras, we generally post numerous signs that night stating that they are not to be used. Back to Top
	Does Highdive take credit cards?
	Yes, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express can be used, but only for drinks at the bar. You must pay any cover charge with cash. There is an ATM immediately inside the front door for your convenience. Please close any tab that you have open at the bar before 2:00am. If you accidentally leave your credit card overnight, it can be retrieved the next night that we are open for business. Back to Top
	How do I get a job at Highdive?
	Job openings are usually few and far between. Your best bet is to come in during normal business hours and fill out an application. We may not have anything available immediately, but when we do we'll have your info on file. Do we hire bartenders with no previous experience? For the most part, no. Generally we hire people as a bar back or cocktail wait first...then move them into bartending positions once they have displayed a solid work ethic. Back to Top
